Ladies, gentlemen and all followers of moi,
Please accept my deepest apologies for falling off the face of the earth for a very, very, very long time – my absence has been unacceptable. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am coming back with a vengence – I have recently made the decision to forgo my days of adorning a gray, black or navy suit and working around the clock as an investment banker to begin a new path. On July 16, 2012, I will start a new job in the corporate finance group at ANN Inc., the company that runs Ann Taylor and LOFT stores.
The move should enable me to actually live life again with plenty of vacation time and normal people hours. While I am taking a relatively lofty all-in compensation pay cut, I feel that I will be getting so much more out of life and I think I will be eager and excited to go to work each and every morning, which is something you really cannot put a price on.
Anyway, this blog is supposed to be about my never ending battle with my jiggles and wiggles so just wanted to write a quick note on that as well. I have 2.5 months till I put on a big white fluffy dress and walk down that aisle to get my MRS and I am currently hovering around 125 – 127 pounds which was my goal weight when I first started this blog. I think that my current weight is more than sustainable; but, since this is my wedding and I want to look extra spectacular I am really gunning for 115 to 120 pounds all though, at this point I am really more focused on toning my meatball arms and just firming up.
Additionally, wanted to let you all know that I have a checked an item off of my fitness bucket list – on May 6, 2012, I ran 13.1 miles and completed the Jersey Shore Half Marathon. As I get older and more prone to wiggly parts, I want to make sure I continually set fitness goals for myself so that I am always working towards something new. After the wedding, the new goal is a full marathon – hopefully in gay old Paris!
Also, if you want some great perspective on fitness and a healthy life style, my friend Mariel Danzinger writes a blog called Healthy Pantz – check it out here!
